
The Canyon Store is a webshop specializing in canyoning equipment. Canyoning is a sport where you follow the course of a river through a gorge. It is primarily a mountain-based activity that involves rappelling, jumping, swimming, and more. The founder, Daniel Buvens, has extensive experience with the use of various materials.
The Canyon Store is growing!
Over time, the storage capacity became too small to manage the webshop from Daniel’s garage. Additionally, Daniel was packaging and shipping orders after his regular working hours, resulting in very long days. He was combining the webshop with a full-time job. Can you feel it? Too little capacity and too much time spent on packing and shipping. Daniel found himself at a crossroads. He decided to look for a logistics partner, but why did he ultimately choose Webship?

What could be improved?
We asked Daniel for his feedback on the Webship Online cloud application. Two points for improvement came up:
- Stock adjustments are not communicated by the application, creating the possibility of stock discrepancies if a manual stock correction occurs that is not relayed.
This is on our roadmap. We will ensure that when a Webship employee makes a stock change, the webshop owner will automatically receive a notification with the reason for the stock adjustment. - Purchase orders have to be processed manually in WooCommerce, as there is no automatic feedback.
Correct! We have been working hard in recent months on the WooCommerce integration to enable two-way communication. The latest tests have been successfully completed, and the extended synchronization went live on 18/09/2019, ensuring that stock levels are always synchronized with the connected webshop(s). Not only with manual stock changes, but also when new stock arrives at the warehouse, the stock numbers are updated in real-time on the webshop.
